Me and my father decided to take a trip to Venice on a hot August day and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it.
Truth be told, Venice turned out to be a lot different than I expected, in a good way of course. I knew that this historical city attracts lots of tourists every day, but I did not know that it was that many. The city was absolutely crowded by tourists from all around the world.
After we parked the car on a public parking and paid 15 € for 12 hours, we were headed to the center of the city. I thought that I would immediately see famous Venice canals and gondole, but it wasn't like that at all.
First we took a walk past some shops such as Calzedonia, souvenir shops and Lush.  Everybody were saying that the city has a strong odor, but the only thing that I felt was the smell of Lush bath bombs and soaps, so lovely ! There are also plenty of cafes in the city, my favorite was HANDAY ice cream shop, where I got myself a gelato (Italian word for ice cream)
and it was delicious !

After a bit of shopping, we continued our way to St. Mark's Square. It took us about an hour of walking to get there because we stopped along the way and took some photos and also we went to an exhibition that you can see in the video below.
When we finally arrived to the square I was annoyed by these pesky salesman that try to sell you everything, even the corn for the pigeons. I was totally frustrated by their high prices, for example the price of the smoothie was 6 € and they even charge you for the service in the restaurants, crazy.
I arrived home late at night with bunch of beautiful memories and photos. All I can say is that you need to visit Venice at least once in your lifetime if you have a chance, it really is breath taking.

Thank you for reading and enjoy ! :)
